The Telerik team is growing and we are currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide high quality Technical Support for Telerik Automated Testing products, to Telerik customers, partners and other engineers. Support is provided primarily via an online ticket system, with some cases being handled on the telephone and GoToMeeting sessions.
If you were a part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week as a Technical Support Engineer:
? Provided high quality technical support to Telerik customers by answering support tickets via an online ticketing system, telephone, and GoToMeeting sessions
? Analyzed and clarified customer queries though troubleshooting and researching existing knowledgebase articles
? Identified recurring bugs in software and documented it accordingly
? Analyzed product documentation and identified unclear topics based on support tickets received
? Wrote knowledgebase topics to help customers and other support engineers
? Reviewed support cases for technical complexity and made recommendations to team members with regards to escalation
You will be the person who has (a/an):
? Bachelor degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent work experience
? Exceptional troubleshooting and customer-handling skills
? Basic understanding of the difference between: Black box testing, White box testing, Functional testing, Performance testing, Load testing, and UI Testing
? Ability to triage and prioritize incoming problem reports
? Patience assisting customers fixing their problems
? Understanding of fundamental programming concepts
? Interest in learning test automation skills
? Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation, such as KB articles, when needed
? Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
? Beginner's knowledge of C#, C++, and/or VB.NET
? Testing Experience / Functional Testing Tools, especially in test automation is considered highly advantageous
