The Director of Business Development Indirect Channel IJet Intelligent Risk Systems
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Director of Business Development Indirect Channel reports to the V.P. of Travel Partnerships and is responsible for supporting a segment of the Indirect Travel Industry/Partnership Channel. The successful candidate will have accountability for supporting iJET?s travel partnerships with respect to product/service expertise pre/during and post sales activity, as well as business development and value creation opportunities. Success in this role would be defined by someone being able to act as the main point of contact in developing, driving and maintaining positive outcomes that benefit both iJET and the respective partner in regards to any activities that are required to further support closing business and growing sales year over year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in the evolution of the business strategy/model for mid-tier TMC market with VP Travel Partnerships
Own significant aspects of the execution of the approved strategy, such as:
Creation and management of project plan
Conversion of some partners in the existing base into new model
Reporting on milestones and progress
Drive the creation of new opportunities with key partner POC to build and manage pipeline for mid-tier partner segment
Own deal management, proposals and sales cycle to closure for opportunities from mid-tier pipeline
Deliver $1M in new sales from mid-tier TMC partnerships as well as any new evolved business model
Accountability to formalize a training plan/curriculum and tools for mid-tier TMC?s and execute that plan throughout the year
Product SME for iJET product/service questions
Participate and/or assist in supporting efforts tied to travel industry association work and/or programs (GBTA/ACTE/Others)
Provide support in reporting on overall channel statistics for VP of Travel Partnerships
Skills and Abilities:
Experience as project owner in driving results, achieving milestones and completing projects
Ability to work cross-functionally, communicate clearly, build relationships and influence points of contact
Self starter, proven ability to identify opportunities and drive them to conclusion
Proven experience working in dynamic/changing work environment ? flexibility
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proven project management skills
Proven ability to multitask and proactively problem solve (intuitive nature)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel as needed (20%)
Education / Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or 4 years direct experience in emergency/crisis response, military tactical/combat operations centers or emergency dispatch/communications.
2-6 years? experience in a related field required; International studies, travel, call center and/or expatriate experience desired.
Experience in an inbound call center, emergency management operations center or other operations centers that require communication skills during times of high stress.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Participation in Travel Industry Associations a plus
8+ years experience working in position(s) that support ?Essential Duties/Responsibilities? as outlined above
3+years experience working directly in the travel industry
