The 12-month Ad-Tech Apprenticeship has been designed to provide an immersive, hands-on experience at the intersection of advertising and technology. One lucky candidate will begin with a 6-month engagement at TubeMogul Inc., learning first-hand what it?s like to work at one of the fastest-growing tech companies in America. The next 6 months will be spent at the IPG Mediabrands' offices in San Francisco. With offices in over 130 countries, IPG Mediabrands is a proven entity in helping clients to maximize business results through integrated, intelligence-driven marketing strategies. IPG Mediabrands was named MEDIA?s agency holding company of the year for 2013!
At TubeMogul, the Apprentice will learn about the business of video advertising and what it takes to compete in the crowded Ad-Tech start-up space. Participants will become experts on real-time bidding, programmatic video advertising and the PlayTime platform, TubeMogul?s real-time media buying platform. Embodying the company?s values - Make it Happen, Do What You Say, Figure Stuff Out - and putting them into everyday practice will be critical to successfully completing the first 6 months of the Apprenticeship. Responsibilities include:
Executing day to day production tasks (campaign set up, launch, tracking & optimization)
Interacting with clients and sales on a regular basis to provide updates on campaign performance
Managing campaign calendar, trafficking assets and client approval process
Mastery of the PlayTime platform
Completing QA check sheet and all procedures accurately
The next phase will be spent on-site at IPG Mediabrands, working closely with its dedicated programmatic media practice that is at the heart of its stated goal of automating 50 percent of all US media investment by 2016. Based on the knowledge and the expertise of its team, this division stands at the edge of ad tech and fuels all the programmatic activities of MAGNA North America, the MAP G14 and World Market teams. At IPG Mediabrands the Apprentice will have the opportunity to blend the highly technical skills offered at the first phase of the program with the concepts of successful technology enablement that meets clients? needs at the best possible service level while working with professionals that foster excellence and collaborative culture. The successful Apprentice will have the chance to access all the methods applied in computational advertising and obtain all the required knowledge on the business and technical nomenclature. By the end of this program the candidate will be equipped with all the skills and experience required for a successful career in the advertising industry. The main responsibilities include:
Managing issue tracking and resolution for technical issues escalated to external vendors
Partnering with product team and acting as an internal resource for product troubleshooting and support
Assisting with creation of resources and materials to facilitate training and education to internal and external stakeholders
Candidates will leave the apprenticeship with a 360-degree view of the digital video advertising industry. Upon completion, winners will have market-ready skills in the media/advertising/technology field and, pending approvals, will have the option of full-time employment at TubeMogul or IPG Mediabrands.
Eligible candidates will be recent graduates, within 1 year of receiving their degree by the beginning of Apprenticeship
