Thermal Design Engineer Acumentrics

Responsibilities:

Provide mechanical/thermal analysis and component design on solid oxide fuel cell generator systems.

Provide thermal engineering input (mass and energy calculations, design recommendations, performance predictions, etc.) into all phases of the design process.

Design, manufacture and test burners, recuperators, hot water coils, and associated gas and fluid handling equipment.

Create models and obtain performance predictions for fuel cell stacks and auxiliary components.



Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

5+ years related engineering experience

Demonstrated capabilities in fluid flow control and piping system design.

Experience with the design of flow control components.

Strong educational background in fluid dynamics and heat transfer.

3D CAD experience (Solidworks preferred)

Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desired: High volume component manufacturing experience.

Experience in the design of combined heat and power energy systems.

Experience in the design of fans and blowers.
