Job Description
The Senior Thermodynamic Cycle Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design and optimization of thermodynamic cycles that will generate power, work and/or cooling, using a variety of computational tools. In this role, the TCDE will perform conceptual design and optimization studies of various cycles, both as standalone models and as integrated systems in industrial applications. In addition, the TCDE will work with the engineering team to develop and refine component-level submodels for integration into the system model, analyze experimental data for model validation, and support sales, marketing and applications engineering by performing modeling studies of proposed applications.

What we view as important in your background that would prepare you for this position:
5-7 years of experience working in a similar or comparable role;
5 years of experience in the power generation equipment industry and/or demonstrable experience working in one or more of the following areas:
- HVAC/refrigeration
- High pressure fluid systems
- Other complex engineered products that produce power or work
Prefer PhD (candidates with exemplary skills and experience holding a M.S. will be considered);
Expertise with Matlab, Excel/VBA, ameSim (or equivalent) and other process modeling tools; and
Demonstrable presentation skills.
Experience in leading teams and/or managing others.
