right candidate will have some previous experience in the following areas
Specific job responsibilities include:
? Support the thin-film coating operation with both equipment and process expertise;
? Real-time troubleshooting of coating issues as well as off-line projects;
? Optical thin-film fabrication using ion-beam sputtering (IBS) in a production environment (required);
? Physical deposition processes including e-beam evaporation, IAD, and/or magnetron sputtering;
? Optical thin-film material science;
? Operation and maintenance of deposition chambers;
? Process monitoring and control;
? Optical metrology (spectrophotometry, interferometry, etc);
? Optical filter design, anti-reflection coating design;
? Modeling and simulation of thin-film designs and processes.
