Tier 2 Support Technician TransZap

Summary:In this position, the technician will be providing Tier 2 support for various Transzap supporting the Customer Support group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing Tier 2 support cases that are software defect related
Understanding the needs and use cases of our customers
Configuring environments to reproduce & debug defects
Researching and identifying customer issues
Collaborating with customer support and product development teams
Identifying, recommending and creating improvements to the product
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to communicate with T2 group and external customers
Comprehensive knowledge of programming skills must be demonstrated
Comprehensive knowledge of distributed environments
Experience with Agile development methodology is a plus but not required
Experience with MongoDB or Terracotta a plus
Unix experience and command line tools experience is a plus
Ability to navigate between servers
Familiar with process of software development
Qualified candidate will have BS Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, CIS and/or equivalent discipline or experience
Experience in writing software in Java is a plus
