The Tier II Network Architect at LightEdge Solutions will provide courteous and professional implementation support and work directly with clients on fulfilling new service requests. This will include configuration, installation, documentation, and troubleshooting of advanced networks, security, and hosted services.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Review and accurately determine project design and hardware requirements on fulfillment contracts.
Provide LightEdge Solutions clients with superior implementation support
Identify, correct, and advise on incidents related to client services
Escalate service requests and incidents as required
Effectively communicate project status to Project Managers and client
Follow standards and procedures for configuration
Complete all design documentation, including equipment configuration, quickly and completely following a project completion
Ensure documents are complete, current and stored appropriately upon project completion.
Minimum 40 hours/week required
Other duties as assigned
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Associate degree in Information Technology or a related discipline preferred, an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
1-3 years of experience with Information Technology hardware and software support
Must possess a strong understanding of networks and advanced routing
Proficient with Cisco hardware (routers, switches and firewalls)
Experience with VMWare preferred
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to multitask and operate with minimal supervision, adjusting priorities accordingly
Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress
Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to changes in technology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for work in a collaborative team environment
Occasional travel may be required
