About the Job
The following is a representative description of the position?s role and responsibilities. Reflecting the flexible nature of our work, Nexant will adjust this description as necessary to meet operating and strategic needs of its business.
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Coordinator I to support the Energy Efficiency ? Implementation Support team in our Chandler, AZ office. The successful candidate will have 1+ years? experience within residential, commercial and lighting industries. This position will be focused on supporting recruiting, training and management of the trade ally network for Salt River Project?s Energy Efficiency Programs. This position consists of working with trade allies, individually and in group settings to maximize their participation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supports the organization?s technical outreach functions to promote energy efficiency through the creation and management of formal and informal trade alliance networks.
Consistently meet assigned objectives related to sales, marketing, inspections, communications, client satisfaction and other key performance indicators.
Identify potential energy savings strategies and projects, support the development of effective sales presentations, and respond to questions and inquiries from industry professionals in an accurate, proficient and timely manner.
Experience with meeting/event planning, organization and successful execution.
Identify and focus on market segments capable of generating the largest energy savings with the most cost effective approach.
Understand end-use utility customer organization and decision-making process and work with the trade contractors to identify and determine the project applicability, eligibility, schedule, qualifying equipment and/or energy efficiency measures, potential energy savings, and available incentives.
Establish and maintain at all times professional client rapport, including identifying and anticipating client needs and proposing solutions.
Promptly and accurately address client concerns to assure problem resolutions and promote long-term productive relationships.
Communicate with trade allies and customers regarding program requirements.
Use tools that illustrate energy product economics to customers and trade allies.
Coordinate the training and educational outreach efforts with trade allies who sell, design, install, and market energy efficient technologies.
Support coordination efforts for energy efficiency programs and provide information related to lighting, facility management and/or the mechanical industry on behalf of the local delivery team.
Communicates with subcontractors and clients.
Working in close coordination and concert with fellow local, regional and national company outreach representatives and managers to meet company and project goals.
Support outreach team; respond to ?customer eligibility? questions from Trade Allies; support Trade Allies recruitment with review and approval of Trade Ally applications; coordinate with Trade Allies support to ensure licensing, insurance, and other required information is current.
Other duties as assigned.
Business Management, construction, engineering, marketing or related degree is required or other directly-related commensurate experience.
1+ year of experience within residential, commercial and/or lighting industries.
Excellent oral communication, writing, interpersonal, sales, marketing and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
Ability to learn and operate company proprietary computer software is required.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple time-dependent tasks simultaneously.
Ability to develop and present rational value-added business cases for energy industry, distributors, retailers and/or contractors based on program dynamics and market trends.
Knowledge of energy efficiency or the building efficiency industry is a plus.
Knowledge of proper building construction and codes, and/or field experience in performing inspections to properly identify opportunities within the program compliance process.
Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems is a plus.
Must be able to lift, push and or pull 50 pounds. Ability and comfort using small tools, ladders and power equipment.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Must have a valid U.S. driver?s license, insurance and a personal vehicle to visit customer sites.
