As a tradeshow planner, you will be responsible for helping manage Cvent's annual presence at 275+ trade shows worldwide. The chosen candidate will execute effective trade show marketing campaigns that increase pre-show interest in Cvent, drive traffic to our booth and deliver a ROI. This multi-faceted role demands a team player who enjoys a fast-paced, exciting work environment and who has experience negotiating with internal and external groups.

Plan and manage over 275 events annually with dedicated team
Recommend, grow, and optimize targeted and dynamic marketing campaigns to increase pre-show buzz around company
Design marketing and sales initiatives, processes, and campaigns, focused primarily on Business-to-Consumer projects
Execute and manage pre show and post show marketing campaigns
Develop, maintain, and monitor tradeshow and conferences budgets
Identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings
Execute Sponsorship deliverables and manage speaker opportunities
Work with planning team on various company events, including annual client conference with over 600 attendees
Conduct vendor research and negotiate contracts
Manage vendor relationships
Creative thinker, team player, detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated and effective communicator
BA/BS in marketing or closely related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
1-2 years of relevant experience required
Experience planning tradeshows is helpful
Exceptional negotiation skills
Ability to recognize problems and to take appropriate actions toward solutions
High degree of computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Self-motivated individual that is able to work alone or as part of a team
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines
