Reports to: Team Leader, Training
The Trainer executes training plans developed by the Client Services team to deliver training in PHT?s eClinical trials in a conference setting at Investigator Meetings, or at a client's location, or via a virtual classroom over the Internet. The Trainer may be asked to perform other duties as needed.
Deliver live and web-delivered training from prepared project-specific training material.
Consult with the PHT project management team prior to the training engagement to review the Training Plan, project-specific training materials and requirements, and confirm customer expectations.
Implement the project-specific Training Plan in the training environment.
Interact with customer in training environment and act as liaison between customer and project management team during the training engagement.
In an Investigator Meeting setting, participate in meeting as indicated in Training Plan with regard to attendance at general sessions and social events.
Maintain knowledge of the current releases of the PHT products and technology to be taught.
Interact with PHT Project Management, Marketing and Study Support organizations to solicit suggestions for improving existing course offerings and assist in developing new offerings.
Manage own training and travel schedule and communicate schedule and availability to Client Services.
Prepare expense reports for review by Project Manager prior to submission for approval from Team Leader, Project Management
Prepare Training Report and provide it to Project Manager after completion of training engagement.
Set up training environment in advance of training delivery.
Confirm receipt and secure storage of PHT training supplies and materials at training location.
Upon conclusion of training, prepare and ship return training materials to PHT.
Education Minimum: BA/BS in education, scientific or business-related field
Required Skills and Experience:
1-3 years experience delivering IT and/or technical training to adult learners
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Exceptional classroom management skills; must be able to present in a clear and engaging way to both novice and advanced students.
Strong customer-service orientation.
Outstanding organizational skills and time management abilities.
Ability to establish rapport and work in close collaboration with individuals and groups.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing environments and priorities
Excellent problem solving skills.
Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts, to learn new technology and to understand project-specific nuances.
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical/biotech and healthcare industry strongly preferred
Up to 75% domestic and some international travel may be required for this position. A valid passport is required.
Foreign language skills a plus
