POSITION SUMMARY
This Trainer and Instructional Designer is responsible for proactively identifying, presenting and delivering documentation designed by the Training Services Group in support of internal, client and partner training initiatives. This includes the full scope of training documentation content development per product release and definition, content development based on client software design, documentation to support training delivery to client end users, trainers and technical staff as well as partners designing and implementing Datacert software.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
Maintain concurrent level of knowledge regarding planned product features and functionality and manage all training documentation updates for the Training Services Group in coordination with other Training Services Group resources
This requires coordination with internal training colleagues, project managers, business analysts, developers, product technical writers, corporate customer support and law firm support personnel to ensure all documentation reflects the correct and most recent features and functionality
Key contributor to Datacert?s training documentation curriculum for all products including both standard and custom issue documentation
Collaborate with product management and engineering to produce functional and technical content to be utilized and incorporated into documentation, or to create new documentation
Maintain concurrent level of knowledge regarding planned patches designed to address product bugs and defects. Work directly with other departments to understand features and functionality impacted and ensure training documentation reflects planned releases
Design and develop training documentation and content for customized solutions by clients
Design and develop training instructor documentation for customized solutions by clients who purchase train-the-trainer customized documentation
Design and develop role-based documentation and quick reference materials for clients who have purchased customized training based on their configured solutions
Deliver documentation to internal staff and clients in the following categories:
New product release training for all new features and modules
New employee training as it relates to Passport products
Train-the-trainer programs as offered and sold to clients and partners
Customized training delivery to clients as required
Assist with and actively participate in the development and coordination of technical training documents including Designer, Cognos Reporting, Testing, Integration and Environment Management programs
Maintain the integrity of all documentation and manage training documentation release schedule for the Training Services Group in coordination with other Training resources.
Ensure that learning solutions incorporate best practices in adult learning theory and create thought leadership by being aware of leading edge learning solutions and market trends.
Maintain training learning management infrastructure, training scheduling, coordination, logistics, billing, and planning
Additional Responsibilities:
Propose, design, and champion innovative learning solutions
Ensure the final deliverables are the highest quality
Provide input into training solutions for our partners and clients
Develop and maintain relationships with all departments to ensure educational relevance and training endeavors succeed
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, Organizational Design, Psychology, or other equivalent curriculum that focuses on learning theory and/or solutions
Master?s degree preferred, but not required
Experience may be accepted in lieu of advanced degree
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in design and development of instructional material
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design and development of training documentation
Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing customer relationships
Preferred experience with legal industry processes, best practices and software that support legal Matter and Spend Management and/or Governance, Risk and Compliance activities and/or Insurance activity within the industry
Preferred experience with legal software such as matter and spend management a plus.
Demonstrated research and analysis skills
Demonstrated experience designing and developing complex software documentation
Demonstrated experience designing and developing curriculum development programs
Demonstrated experience delivering virtual and in person training courses
Strong consulting capability with strong interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills
Strong level of professionalism, executive presence and credibility; able to effectively challenge and influence peers and customers
Familiar with current learning and performance improvement industry standards, approaches, and innovations
Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
Expert with Mircosoft Word and PowerPoint
Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite using tools such as, and not limited to, Presenter, Captivate, Audition, Flash, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, DreamWeaver, Illustrator and products such as Lectora, etc. The full Adobe e-Learning Suite is a plus
Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, multiple sets of documentation and deliverables as well as the ability to accurately estimate level of effort and production dates

Ability to travel up to 50%
