THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Sunrun is seeking a dynamic, talented Trainer to help grow our leadership position in the fledgling Solar Services industry. The position is responsible delivering training in a variety of modes.
Who We Are
Sunrun is on a mission to make solar energy affordable and ubiquitous. We help people upgrade their home to solar energy without the large upfront costs. Instead, we install our solar facilities on homeowners? roofs, and sell them electricity that the systems produce. We guarantee electricity production; if anything breaks or needs repair, we fix it. We are very well funded, having raised ample corporate funds from Accel Partners and Sequoia Capital as well as over one billion dollars of project financing from US Bancorp and Credit Suisse, among others?
Solar Services is a new, exciting industry that is moving solar systems (the kind on the roof, not the kind revolving around the sun) into the mainstream. You?ll be on the forefront of redefining how solar is perceived, and proliferating solar in the market.
Reporting to the manager of Training, this position will need to be thoroughly proficient in all of Sunrun?s products and processes. A major audience for the training will be aspects of both internal and external sales organizations?from lead generators to inside sales reps, to sales consultants. Experience in sales and sales training is an absolute must.
Scope of Work?
Deliver engaging, high-impact training in ILT
Create and deliver e-learning in synchronous and asynchronous formats
Apply adult learning theory and sound instructional methodology to training
Conduct T3 events and/or deliver training to various audiences on an as-needed basis
Project manage training events
Identify audience deficiencies and create training solutions to address those deficiencies
Coach and mentor sales people
This position involves approximately 70% domestic travel
5+ years of experience in consumer-oriented sales and/or sales training
Must have proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and writing skills required
Excellent presence in presentation situations
Stamina and a customer-friendly attitude
Business-to-consumer sales experience highly valued
Solar background is a plus, but not necessary
Experience delivering both ILT and (synchronous and asynchronous) distance learning to sales audiences is a basic requirement.
