The Training Coordinator will plan, develop, evaluate and coordinate training programs for the company. They will assist with needs assessments, research approaches to address development gaps and recommend offerings to support our employee development needs. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources.
Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness.
Offer specific training programs to help employees maintain or improve job skills.
Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups or consultation with managers, instructors or customer representatives.
Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and guides and course materials.
Evaluate training materials prepared by instructors.
Design, plan, organize, and direct orientation and training for employees.
Monitor training costs to ensure budget is not exceeded and prepare reports to justify expenditures.
Select and assign instructors to conduct training.
Aligns training program objectives to needs analysis.
Market and communicate program, ensuring attendance.
Manage program logistics.
5-8 years of experience in a training position.
Strong analytical skills.
Familiar with standard learning theory or principles as applied to adult training.
Initiative, motivation, creativity and ability to multi-task.
Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
