Training & Development Manager

Responsibilities:

Assess current training initiatives and company-wide development needs
Design creative, innovative and impactful training programs, curriculums and knowledge sharing initiatives to enhance for all levels and across all locations/functions of the company
Develop effective training materials and delivery tools for programs and courses using a variety of methodologies (e.g., role playing exercises, simulations)
Plan, organize and coordinate the logistics for setting up training courses
Develop communications related to all development events (pre, during and post)
Develop promotional efforts and materials for training activities
Facilitate the delivery of training programs in person, live webcast and via recorded programs
Develop Train-the-Trainer programs and coach others on the delivery of training
Evaluate all completed training and develop metrics to demonstrate the value/impact of training initiatives
Update and iterate programs as needed to adapt to the changing workforce and business needs
Manage the budget and cost controls for training & development
Manage current and new vendor relationships
Manage company libraries - making available best-in-class employee development resources/materials

Requirements:

6-10 years full-cycle training experience (needs assessment, instructional design, program development, delivery and evaluation)
BA/BS degree in HRM, Org Psych, OD or related field. Masters preferred.
Proven success in building a learning organization
Strong Project Management skills
Strong Client Relationship building skills
Experience delivering live remote training (via webcasts) and recorded training
Experience with e-learning and training authoring tools a plus
Internet Industry experience preferred
Travel approximately 30-40%

This position is located in Santa Monica, CA and reports to the VP, Human Resources.
