Position Summary:
The Training & Development Specialist will report to the HR Director and be the main point of coordinate and planning for training at the company. They will be responsible for working with Sr. Managers, Department Managers and individual team members to develop skills necessary to succeed and accomplish goals across the company. In addition, they will assist the HR Director with recruiting efforts and identifying future team members based on skill fit and cultural fit.
This position will work closely with all departments from sales to engineering. The individual must be able to work independently, as well as determine development needs to help move the team and the company forward.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and Coordinate all new hire onboarding
Conduct portions of new hire onboarding, as necessary
Implement, Manage and Enhance use of new Learning Management System
Coordinate and assist in the development of training materials
Source external training, as needed, as well as coordinate internal training with appropriate resources
Develop learning plans to assist in consistency and deployment of training
Guide the development of career ladders across departments
Provide guidance and resources for creation of individual development plans
Assist HR Director with recruiting efforts including posting positions and attending recruiting events
Track certifications for partner programs and coordinate / monitor progress toward achievement of new certifications
Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate:
College graduate
Knowledge of adult learning principles
Excellent writing & verbal communication skills
Ability to think independently, problem solve and recommend course of action
Willingness to pitch in and help as needed above and beyond base responsibilities
