Driven by strong market demand for innovative solutions, double-digit revenue growth, and global expansion, Empirix created this central education and training function to ensure excellence in service delivery by Technical Support, Professional Services Consultants, and Channel partners in the deployment, operation and support of EMPIRIX products for Service Quality and Performance Monitoring of telecommunications carriers, service providers and corporate enterprise IP networks across the globe.
We seek an experienced Training professional to lead the company?s Technical Training function with the mission to provide world-class technical product operational training utilizing a wide spectrum of training delivery methodologies. Empirix products are carrier-class monitoring systems that provide complete visualization into real time service quality of multiservice IP networks. The goal is to have Empirix services delivery employees skilled to provide customers a consistently high level of systems management support covering the Installation, Administration, Configuration and Troubleshooting of Empirix Enterprise and Service Provider products. Additionally, training delivery will be extended to Global Partners and installed customer base through distant learning educational delivery tools.
? Create the business plan, strategy, and project plan for a cost-effective Training Program for skills development of Empirix employees, global partners, and installed base on level 1/systems administration
? Collaborate with internal departments to gather and create a portfolio of training material for all mainstream products
? Design, develop and implement courses for global customer base. Design or identify best-in-class, sustainable blended learning solutions (courses, readings, modules or activities) in response to needs, incorporating various methods (classroom, intranet, webcasts, webinars, virtual seminars, on-line networks). - identify and put into practice different courseware for a range of learning styles
? Implement a schedule of training events to meet product and regional business objectives including new product launches and product updates. Gain proficiency in Empirix products; initially instruct all courses and gain knowledge of learning community and adapt delivery methods to support corporate global diversification including train-the-trainer and distant learning technologies
? Create and manage a web-accessible lab to assist in training effectiveness.
? Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness. Deliver quarterly metrics.
Design and launch new LMS tool. Manage the material inputs, editing, and production process for content, as well as ensuring information is up-to-date.
Hands-on proficiency in technical course design, development, delivery, and educational instructional technologies for global field delivery
Demonstrated proficiency in course, program and training material development spanning all delivery methods ? web/flash, CBT, slide ware/ILT, hands on lab workshops, remote lab
Proficiency in IP technologies in one or more areas - telecommunications, VoIP, unified communications
Bachelors or Master's degree organizational development, adult learning or equivalent experience.
Approximately 10-15 years' experience, preferably international in scope, leading a corporate product technology training function including planning, program management and project scheduling
Ability to produce high quality learning deliverables, on time, using a variety of delivery methods.
Ability to work on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Able to think on your feet and creatively problem-solve issues.
Experience monitoring and evaluating programs and adjusting to maximize impact.
Demonstrated effective training/facilitation experience.
Experience working with teams to achieve results.
Experience with cross-cultural contexts and audiences; and audiences for which English is a Second Language.
Ability to partner effectively with varied audiences from senior management to individual contributors.
Interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills as well as excellent influencing and active listening skills.
Computer skills essential: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with learning management systems (Sharepoint preferred).
Ability to travel.
