THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED What We?re Looking For:
The Training Manager is responsible for initial and ongoing training of our internal teams. S/he will analyze, identify, develop and implement improvements to our current training processes and curriculum while also assisting with the development of new training initiatives.
Desired competencies include:
ANALYSIS: Identify performance gaps and isolate root causes that can be addressed with appropriate training and coaching interventions.
DESIGN: Develop the sequence and structure for training modules and initiatives starting with sound instructional objectives and adult learning methodologies. Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather material and to verify design plans.
DEVELOP: Prepare participant and instructor materials, coaching plans, and job aids for highly interactive and impactful learning solutions.
IMPLEMENT: Facilitate highly interactive training and coaching sessions to diverse employee groups, encouraging participation and building learner motivation.
EVALUATE: Verify successful transfer of training content to participants. Prepare impact reports for senior management.
What you?ll be responsible for:
Assessing current training programs and processes to identify and implement areas of improvement
Assessing current knowledge levels of individuals and teams to identify skill gap deficiencies
Working with subject matter experts to develop training content that satisfies operational and compliance requirements
Ensuring that learning solutions are aligned with defined business goals and 2U educational standards
Delivering learning solutions in a manner that both engages the learner and produces desired outcomes
Creating a positive learning environment where learners feel safe to try new skills and behaviors and where individual differences are respected
Supporting a collaborative team environment where feedback is willingly provided and received
Interfacing successfully with all stakeholders and team members to ensure successful outcomes
Proactively monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of training efforts
Maintaining accurate measurement and tracking process to monitor the progress of trainees
Providing reports to management team to identify strengths and weaknesses of trainees
Staying current with trends in learning, training and development research; new materials, methods and techniques
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
Bachelor?s degree required in Business, Education, Human Resources, or related discipline; Master?s degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years experience developing training content
At least one year of experience delivering training and coaching in a corporate environment or to adult learners

Strong and proven training facilitation skills. Previous experience working in a non-profit or private collegiate environment a plus
Solid understanding of education industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills ? effective in one-on-one and small group settings
Ability to command attention and manage the learning process
Ability to create a positive, high energy, motivating learning environment
