The Staff Development Coordinator oversees, manages, and organizes to create an environment with an informed and efficient performing work force. This role will conduct all Clinical and Non-Clinical training and development programs and facilitate orientation sessions for new hires. This includes, but not limited to delivering some of the programs. Additionally, schedules and organizes all staff mentoring and precepting. This person will also complete yearly competency and skill requirements for all staff members in order to meet Joint Commission accreditation requirements.
Executive Director of Human Resources
Develop and assist with the development of internal training modules for all new clinical and Non-Clinical hires at AICU Care.
Coordinates all training and staff development programs. Prepare and facilitate the training of preceptors.
Coordinates the activities of the AICU Care Training Committee
Comfortable rendering assistance via telephone, website, and/or on-site.
Develop, implement, and maintain training material for all Non-Clinical employee / teams.
Reviews content of clinical training material to assure it meets adult learning principals.
Facilitate the development and execution of new internal and external educational programs.
Oversees training on all software/hardware modifications for the organization.
Reviews and approves training material produced by the I.T. Staff.
Acts as resource and mentor for staff regarding training issues, problem solving and appropriate customer service behavior.
Work with cross functional groups to create, implement, manage, and validate training processes.
Participates as member of the Training Committee
Conduct on-going communication with other training team members to ensure timely feedback for internal and external training content. Develops and manages training strategies relative to the orientation and development of the employees.
Performs preceptor assessment on performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
Develop testing and evaluation procedures for training content.
Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
Owns and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other related materials.
Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
Coordinate established courses with technical and professional courses to make sure all staff is compliant with maintaining their job specific credentials.
Maintains training materials and funds. Manages all training materials for AICU Care.
Produce training materials and manuals as it is related to delivery of the services of Advanced ICU Care.
Organizes the usage of training materials provided by outside vendors, e.g. e-learning, product releases, etc.
Understands department specific training budgets and audits for appropriate spending.
Works with department manager in allocating training funds
Participates in new client implementation meetings as needed.
Acts as a resource in assuring that AICU Care training content is adult specific and represents AICU Care in a professional manner.
Maintain confidentiality and privacy with regard to patient, team member and organizational issues
Leadership and management experience in effective team building skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead training with high competence and previous experience as a clinical and non-clinical educator.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with strong organizational skills with attention to detail
A proven ability to organize, take initiative and follow-up independently
Staff development and training experience in a healthcare field is preferred Bachelor?s Degree in Education or similar area preferred.
Experienced with constructing educational material or plan
Flexible full time (40 hours per week) schedule and availability for non-business hours at times to meet training needs of staff.
Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS office and technology savvy.
