This position is located in our Tarrytown, NY office.
Position Summary: The Training Manager ? Sales will be responsible for developing the new business, renewal, and closing skills of sales personnel identified as needing additional training. The Training Manager ? Sales will also be responsible for personal sales.
Principal Responsibilities:
Meet/exceed monthly personal revenue objectives as they are set at the beginning of each month which includes new business, renewal, media and event sales.
Assist new, early tenure, and sales personnel needing assistance (as determined by VP & Director of Sales) with meeting total revenue goals including new client revenue, renewal revenue and media sales.
Support training of sales personnel on selling all product lines. Create weekly schedule for training and/or follow up for each rep.
Assist in the development and implementation of new sales tools and training programs.
Conduct joint calls.
Follow up on a timely basis with identified reps to ensure success.
Documentation of each individual session and weekly meetings with each Sales Manager (documentation to be determined by needs) ? schedule to be made thru each individual manager.
Update VP & Director of Sales weekly on overall progress and performance of each rep including results and provide documentation.
Assist with development of additional training modules as needed.
Other trainings as needed for the division can be added to the schedule.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Skill Specifications:
Education:
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience. BA or BS preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of advertising/consultative/media sales experience.
Minimum of 2 years of training experience including coaching, training or instruction and developing individuals including skill level observation.
Prior experience in sales management preferred
The ideal candidate will possess:
Industry experience
Previous experience selling online marketing/advertising programs.
Ability to meet/exceed monthly quota.
