The Silver Peak Training Manager will:Be responsible for developing and maintaining technical courseware
Explore innovative options for implementing online, self-paced training options and services for preferred partners and customers
Perform a needs assessment to identify ways to improve and build upon current training offerings
Manage and oversee the delivery and execution of quality training, including the coordination and organization of the training calendar, course logistics, resources and instructors
Be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and smooth operation of student training labs and resources
Oversee the rollout of training material to internal instructors through ?train the trainer? sessions
Continually gather and assess customer and partner feedback to continually work to improve Silver Peak training programs
Work with Silver Peak Channel, Sales, and Technical teams to insure training is relevant and effective
Oversee the development and content of Silver Peak certification exams that appropriately challenge and motivate partners, customers and employees to further their understanding of Silver Peak and WAN optimization
The ideal candidate for the Training Manager position will have:
2-4 years experience in developing and delivering technical training
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Must be comfortable delivering training courses that are technically consistent, accurate and relevant to supporting Silver Peak?s value to customers and partners
The ability to work independently and be self-motivated to efficiently drive projects and tasks to completion
Hands-on experience in configuring and implementing a virtual lab or training environment
Strong data networking background with working knowledge of network protocols
VMWare VCP certification
The Training Manager position will be based out of Silver Peak Headquarters in Santa Clara, CA. Must be able to travel, as required.
