We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working Technical Training Specialist who enjoys the opportunity to contribute to both customer satisfaction and the growth and education of the company.
Overview:
The role of the Training Specialist is to provide training support and delivery for a variety of team members at TOA Technologies. They will also have an immediate impact on customer satisfaction by partnering with the Sales and Ops departments to uncover learning opportunities that exist. They will then address them by delivering impactful training in order to influence our continued goal of exceeding customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct requirements gathering in order to provide, but not limited to TOA Services and needs required for various roles throughout the organization.
- Designs and conducts company-wide training programs for internal and external audiences.
- Designs and develops variety of courses according to adult learning principles for a variety of delivery modes (classroom, job aids, online training).
- Communicate and manage internal training expectations from a solution and time perspective regarding development and delivery of training.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Works closely with product teams and related stakeholders to understand educational needs and offer guidance on training-related issues.
- Delivers classroom training for internal employees.
- Contributes to the online repository of training content for the company.
- Manage workload through effective time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
- Conduct and perform special projects, as required.
Requirements:
Education:
- BS degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience in instructional design and delivery.
Experience:
- Requires minimum of 10+ years of experience in training/teaching function evidenced by sound instructional design and delivery.
- Must have 5 years of experience in online instructional design.
- 5 years experience developing online content for training and/or education.
- Experience working with LMS, a plus.
- Must be able to produce large volumes of work quickly and efficiently with close attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Self directed, with effective communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and structured thinking skills.
- Excellent project management skills and experience.
- Thrive in a fast-paced team oriented environment.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
- Strong customer service and customer management skills.
- Strong experience on PC/MAC office tools (MS Project, Excel, etc.) and standard courseware development tools.
- Able to address training needs of both technical and non-technical training audiences.
- Knowledge in technologies relevant for the product(s) assignment. Areas may include: networks, databases, and connectivity.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Independently identify, investigate and propose solutions to problems.
- Demonstrate the utmost integrity, honesty and confidentiality in all matters pertaining to the conduct of business operations.
- Outstanding in his/her ability to articulate and present technical training sessions to customers, technicians and our companys internal IT professional services team
- Speak and write fluently in one or more of the following languages (German, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian)
