PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The EHR Training Specialist is a critical component of a physician's successful adoption of an EHR. The Training Specialist's primary responsibility is to successfully develop training materials to help medical providers and their staff learn and adopt the Epocrates EHR software.
•Provide train-the-trainer programs to help trainers learn how to show EHR customers on how to use the Epocrates EHR
•Develop training materials on specific features of the Epocrates EHR software for both clinical and non-clinical staff of office-based physician practices.
•Demonstrate knowledge of medical practice workflows and an understanding of the customer's situation, in order to help customers learn the Epocrates EHR medical software system.
•Write and distribute standardized training programs and materials such as user guides, computer-based tutorials, training videos and other, multimedia visual aids, each of which will include specific learning objectives and assessments
Develop materials to support both elearning and instructor-led training programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Training Skills (Required):
•At least 5 years experience training or developing training materials for enterprise software in small businesses
•Experience training and/or implementing medical software (Practice Management and/or Electronic Medical Records) in a medical office setting a plus.
•Working knowledge of adult learning techniques.
• Instructional design and information architecture principles
• Familiar with the following tools and technologies:
o Software simulation screen capture software, such as Captivate or other similar software
o Web development and design
o Drupal publishing knowledge
o Learning management systems
•Working experience with MS Office
•Working experience with Webinar technology (e.g. WebEx, Go-To-Meeting, etc)

Health Care Skills (Preferred):
•At least 3 years experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in the small physician practice environment.
•Working knowledge of an office-based physician setting including clinical workflow, office workflow, appointment scheduling, medical insurance billing, and collections.
•Basic knowledge of clinical terminologies.
General Skills (Required):
•Able to communicate effectively to a diverse group of people, using both verbal and written communication skills.
•Basic knowledge of technical terminologies.
•Problem solving skills and follow up skills.
•Project management skills a plus.
•Outstanding customer service skills, including the ability to interact with all types and skill levels of individuals.
•Must be a process focused individual able to multi-task in challenging, sometimes stressful situations.
•Must be a highly motivated person who can work autonomously and as part of a team.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in Healthcare
