THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED DescriptionIn Shelburne, Vermont surrounded by the Green Mountains and Lake Champlain, Vermont Teddy Bear Company is a growing organization consisting of multiple brands and channels. The Bear Crew is currently searching for a Transportation Associate to join their team. This position will coordinate offshore purchasing and transportation activities with VTB?s internal Sourcing, Technical Design, Quality Control teams as well as with Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers.
RequirementsEssential Duties & Responsibilities
? Work with Sourcing, Tech Design and QC departments to make sure all products are approved to ship before confirming supplier freight bookings
? Working with Transportation companies on all bookings, product pick up, supplier order consolidations, and on-time deliveries.
? Review and approve all shipping invoices from suppliers. If there are questions, work with the suppliers on resolution and clarity so it is 100% accurate when it is submitted to our transportation company and Customs. All documentation should be approved before shipments leave the factory.
? Be familiar with Customs documentation requirements. Review and approve all Customs 7501?s for duty declarations. If there are questions, work with the Broker or our transportation company on resolution and clarity.
? Updating shipping details on the company tracker to ensure that all delivery information is accurate and always up to date.
? Review and approve all freight and duty invoices from our transportation company.
? Work with Customs on Binding Rulings to make sure all products are imported under the correct HTS codes.
? Conduct meetings with new transportation companies to make sure the ones we are using are the best for our needs.
? Reviewing and creating financial reports for accounting. This will include compiling actual freight and duty costs by product for monthly and yearly reporting.
? Maintaining and updating shipping costs, HTS codes, and all other pertinent product information in Beauty and Industrios databases. This will also include new item creation and setup.
? Review trade periodicals to keep current on global issues impacting VTB and Pajamagram.
? Create and track Purchase Orders when necessary.
? Responsible for SOS participation as required during Peaks.
? Knowledge of Product Importation and Customs
? Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Gmail.
? Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
