The Department
Manufacturing/Production â€" One of the most critical needs we now have at SpaceX is for Manufacturing/Production staff. With two vehicles flight proven, we have a $3 billion backlog of sold flights. The next critical phase is proving our ability to build rockets with increasing speed while maintaining quality in order to meet the markets high demand. The growth of our production department is critical to hit these significant milestones that lie ahead.
Technicians and Trade Skills â€" SpaceX is continuing to build our highly skilled technician and trades workforce; the extensive in house development and production capabilities at SpaceX would not be possible without their contributions. Responsibilities
- As a Tube Bender, you will set-up, operate and supervise operation of #5C.p. Leonard Master Tube Bender while working to close tolerances and prove out designs to blueprint with minimum jig fixtures.
Requirements
- Must have 5 years of recent Tube Bending Experience
- Experience Tube Bending Aerospace parts
- Experience working with thin walled tubing (.020 - .080)
- Must be able to set up and operate
- Able to read blue prints
- Work to close tolerances
- Experience with Pines or Eaton Leonard; tube bending machines a plus
- Experience working with Inconel, Titanium, Aluminum and Stainless Steel.
- Demonstrate computer literacy
