Job Description :
The Turbine Mechanic is used for the turbine and other critical equipment work and should have 24 months of experience or the demonstrated ability to perform the following tasks. A Turbine Mechanic should also be proficient in: Care and use of hand tools and calibrated tools Rigging Crane signaling Cutting / grinding operations of pneumatic and electrical hand-held power tools Blueprint reading Procedural use and adherence Packing valves Set up for use (and store after use) oxygen / acetylene equipment and properly operate Remove, install, and torque fasteners in accordance with appropriate plant procedure Blue check valve seats The use of a hydraulic torque wrench Inspection of internals of pressure vessels and document findings Clean and store turbine parts in a logistical manner
