Realities that will have a direct and practical impact in the IT trenches. Developers who don?t just code on auto-pilot, but who will think about usability every step of the way. Who will tap into our user base, interact with them directly and get real-world feedback and insights to make ideas and features as relevant and useful as possible in today?s IT trenches.
Responsibilities: What will I do?
Focus on the design and development of product features as well as major components
Contribute to the innovation and evolution of the Spiceworks suite products
Promote design consistency and other UI standards across our products (working closely with other members of the UI team).
Have the opportunity to work directly with our growing community of over 2 million IT pros.
Qualifications: What does it take to do this job?
Looking for all levels of experience
Object Oriented programming skills with Ruby (Python or equivalent)
Application and/or web application development experience is a must
Experience with Rails, Struts, Asp.Net, MVC or any MVC web application framework is a plus
Familiarity with design apps (Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus
Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Familiarity with jQuery, responsive design, Backbone.js is a plus
Solving large-application/user-level problems
BS or BA in Math, Engineering, Computer Science or related field preferred
