Overview:Are you passionate about developing clean maintainable code? Are you experienced in object oriented methodologies and enthusiastic about applying them to client side technologies? If so, iCrossing, a rapidly growing digital agency, is looking to expand their User Interface Engineering team in Reston, VA
Our UI Engineering team is responsible for creating highly extensible interfaces for Web, Mobile and Rich Internet Applications using technologies such as Object Oriented JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks and libraries, AJAX, HTML5 and CSS3. To excel you?ll need a solid understanding of OOP concepts, Web application architecture, CSS layouts and content management systems (CMS).
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development activities, including plan, define, design, and implementation of code modules
Prepare for and participate in code and design reviews
Help guide junior developers on the team
Ensure completion of coding assignments, following best practices
Code complex modules and pages for projects
Provide coding solutions specific to project needs
Follow coding guidelines and best practices
Participate in unit tests, reviews and troubleshoot other developers? code
Report status to project leadership team
Qualifications:
Coding Object Oriented JavaScript is a must
Ability to sufficiently document code, features and functionality (experience with tools such as JSDoc a plus).
In-depth understanding of different JavaScript frameworks/libraries
High level understanding of key components of WEB2.0 architecture (AJAX, Social Networking, Blogs etc)
Ability to code in multiple languages is a plus (PHP, Java/JSP, ASP.NET, etc)
Possess a strong understanding of content management systems is a plus
Strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization techniques for various Rich Media Technologies
