SendGrid is seeking an innovative, self-motivated user experience designer to help us define our next -generation applications. The designer will work in close collaboration with product management, technology, and business teams to create elegant and customer-focused designs that provide customers with a superior user experience. The ideal candidate exhibits passion and capacity to advocate on behalf of our customers and possesses an innate sense for providing polished and simple interface that minimize complexity and provides easy access to a broad feature set.What you'll do
Work closely with cross-functional teams and collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to define and achieve product objectives
Consider and leverage all available insights including market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings in all design activities
Advocate for and follow the user-centered design in all design activities.
Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, detailed mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes to communicate design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors
Develop and maintain effective design guide and patterns
Responsibly and effectively advocate for the customer; fostering a shared understanding of the customer-centric intersection between design, content, business and marketing values
Provide mentorship for less experienced designers and interns
About You
At least 3 years of work experience in Interface Design, Interaction Design, or Information Architecture
Ability to do rapid prototype in HTML
Experience with designing end-user, web-based applications
Ability to quickly turn around rigorous wireframes and mockups in an iterative environment
A strong awareness of common usability methods and principles
Ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels within the organization
Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment
A clean sense of design aesthetics, and a natural propensity towards simplification over complication
