Do you have a creative eye for design? Do you ponder the interaction between people and their environment? Interested in creating cutting edge rich Internet applications? Would you like to influence a growing brand?
The UI Designer will play a critical role in keeping up our status of having the slickest interface of any online banking application. This person will be responsible for the graphical design and usability of our applications and components, as well as our corporate website and microsites. Enhancements will be ongoing and iterative. The latest best practices and design methods will be utilized to ensure the success of not only the applications we build, but also the company itself. It will be important to have knowledge of designing interactive application UIs, as well as static or content-oriented web sites. You will be provided with a Macbook Pro, Adobe CS6 and any other applications you need to work efficiently.
Flexibility, attention to detail, the ability to learn quickly and communicate proactively in a highly dynamic technical and creative environment, while delivering quality work by tight deadlines, are key attributes of this individual.
Principal Accountabilities
Develop wireframes, use cases, flowcharts, production quality graphics, and mock-ups.
Analyze site usage, make recommendations and develop enhancements based on usability principles and best practices.
Develop Web style guides and standards, and design specifications.
Work gracefully with different team members.
Requirements
Excellent Web design and layout skills that blend visual information design with ease of use and accessibility.
An online portfolio demonstrating previous work and accomplishments.
Software proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite tools (Photoshop, Fireworks, or Illustrator).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, complemented by verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of Design and Development processes.
Strong-willed and dogmatic regarding design principles and patterns.
Some experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and/or other JS libraries preferred.
The strong desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a collaborative team.
Strong familiarity with social media trends and applications (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) is ideal.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of Git or other source control mechanisms
Graphic design for printed marketing materials
Familiarity with wireframing tools such as Balsamiq

Relocation: We cannot offer relocation; you must already reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Plano, TX.
