UI Developer/Architect BigMachines

Job Description:

- Will be part of a team of highly talented team working on a leading-edge product.
- Involves understanding the J2EE product space and all Java standards.
- Develop new product features and collaborate with server-side developers to build components using Java, AJAX, Javascript libraries, JSP, Spring framework
- Produce high quality code and perform peer code reviews.
- Set UI coding standards and mentor/guide junior UI engineers.
- Participate in design reviews and set overall direction for UI development team.
- Stay updated of new technologies and of changes in technologies that affect front-end web development.

Qualifications:

- A Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related software engineering discipline, or equivalent
- 3 or more years experience developing web application UI
- Strong focus on problem solving and analysis with ability to understand problems in context of end-users and technical requirements.
- Strong knowledge and passion for front-end technologies such as HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work constructively with developers, QA, Systems and Project managers towards a common goal
- Strong sense of what is required of a great user interface.
