Responsibilities:
Develop a critical, customer facing, high volume user interface.
Elegantly implement designs in a standards-compliant, Flex architecture.
Leverage object-oriented design principals and create readable, reusable code.
Collaborate with the design team to define the information architecture, advocating Web interaction design best practices with a focus on consistency and usability.
Collaborate with the design team on the overall visual design for the application, including branding and navigational elements. Skin Flex components as necessary.
Create rapid user interface prototypes as blueprints for content and technical development.
Participate in scaling and debugging sessions when necessary.
Architect and integrate Flex with data services to access back-end data.
Work closely with back-end developers to push the limits of existing Web technology to create the best possible user experience.
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs and schedules.
Provide complete visibility into user interface development efforts.
Requirements:
3+ years of programming experience.
Flex 4 and Actionscript 3.0 (HTML, Javascript and CSS nice is a plus).
Experience developing applications using Model View Controller design patterns.
Server-side development experience with Perl is a plus.
Degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, or equivalent degree or experience.
Exhibit critical thinking in solving complex problems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be self-managed and self-motivated.
