Right now, we are hunting for our next UI Engineer. The hiring manager is open to either contract or permanent employees.
In this role, you will be a member of the applications team. You will leverage our backend platforms and web services to develop high performing application logic and user interfaces.
Your role will be responsible for development and maintenance of UI elements, pages and workflows. Your focus on quality, usability and rapid prototyping will be paramount as you develop features that deliver ease of use through great new features. Sounds pretty exciting, right
To be seriously considered, we need to see the following skills:
5+ years web development UI experience
Expert in PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS, AJAX
Must possess hands-on experience working with Linux, Apache, MySQL in a Web services environment
Working knowledge of XML, Servlets, SOAP, WSDL, Java, SOA frameworks a plus.
Experience with UI frameworks like Flex, YUI, Google widgets etc.
Experience rapidly building and testing UI prototypes, moving concepts along through iterative thinking
Strong UI mindset with a deep understanding of how to develop easy to use interfaces that solve for workflows
Must have strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communications
Must be familiar with subversion, CVS or other version control systems.
We'd love to see a relevant Bachelors Degree and a Masters would be even better.
We have 100 employees and our office is located behind the Pruneyard in Campbell so it's close to all sorts of restaurants and stores.
