We are looking for a mobile UI engineer to build creative products and features that will shake up the comedy world. The developer will work closely with the business owners, UI engineers, designers, QA and product managers throughout the entire product lifecycle, from the concept stage until delivery and post launch support. You will work with a very passionate team to build rich, responsive, and intuitive interfaces. You'll get to work with internal platform APIs and external APIs like Facebook and Google, bring beautiful designs to life, engage users in a meaningful way, and see projects come to fruition within weeks if not days. Our team is lean, fast and agile and you'll see the direct impact of your work on revenue. This is an opportunity for you to develop the next generation mobile web (phone & tablet) experience!
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience developing web software. However, if you don't have quite that much job experience but are confident that you have the desired skills, please submit your resume anyway. Responsibilities:
- Convert PSD's into clean and easy to maintain HTML and CSS.
- Create intuitive, robust, and highly responsive user interfaces with JavaScript.
- Participate in the design and development of new UI functionality for mobile web applications.
- Find solutions for cross browser issues in both HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
- Work with jQuery templates and JSON files to create dynamic content.
- Experience in developing and building web applications for mobile and touch devices.
- Strong knowledge of HTML / CSS / JavaScript to create high-performance mobile websites that adhere to web standards - Intermediate skill in Photoshop. Cutting up PSD's and optimizing images.
- Experience with leveraging third party APIs as well as creating APIs (REST/SOAP)
- Ability to work well in a team of Designers, Product Managers, QA and other developers.
- Familiarity with development in a PHP environment.
- Enjoy being an important member of our fun, fast paced, energetic and very agile team.
- Strong JavaScript OO skills and ability to write JavaScript with / without use of libraries. (jQuery and other libraries are a plus.)
- Knowledge with version control and bug tracking systems (specifically GIT is a plus).
- Experience with AJAX technologies and techniques.
- Experience with iOS and Mobile App development a big plus.
