Responsibilities
This is a hands-on role with our Web framework development team in the Platform organization. A successful developer in the Web team would have the following characteristics:
- A desire to work collaboratively in a small, cross-functional team
- Interest in modern development techniques
- Passion for code quality that inspires writing and maintaining unit tests
- Curiosity and motivation to pick up new technologies and programming techniques
- Hands-on designing features and writing code
- Ability to hand-code SASS/CSS, JavaScript and related HTML, including selectors/inheritance, positioning models and layouts, and common elements like rounded, resizable buttons. This includes current web technologies and techniques such as reset style sheets. HTML5/CSS3 knowledge is required.
- Experience with ExtJS/DoJo/GWT frameworks is a huge plus.
- Experience handling cross-browser issues (IE7+, FireFox 3.x+, Chrome).
- A proven track record of delivering visual elements for web applications (not just web sites).
- The ability to make realistic schedules and stick to them.
- Experience with Agile development is a plus.
- Must be willing to work on-site at our Foster City office.
