To support our rapid growth, we are seeking an Ultrasound Extender to join the team. The primary role of this position is to partner with the radiology team to increase the quality of care, efficiency and productivity of the radiologists. Specifically key responsibilities include reviewing images that are sent from the covered facilities, incorporating findings into reports for Radiologists to review, and communicating with performing technologists and ordering physicians when necessary.The ideal candidate would be available to work a rotating schedule, have 2+ years' work experience as a Diagnostic Medial Sonographer, and have earned credentials by the ARDMS. The candidate should have demonstrated knowledge in all spectrums of Ultrasound including General, Vascular, OB and Pediatric.
This is a new position and does involve on the job training. Therefore, candidates should have the ability to learn new computer software quickly; be strongly familiar with medical terminology/anatomy knowledge (specifically in the field of ultrasound); strong verbal and written communication skills.
