UNIX Systems Engineer Tremor Video
We are seeking a Systems Engineer who has broad and deep comfort with Internet technology and has a proven history of delivering superlative service to rapidly growing, distributed enterprises. This person will be part of a team that is jointly responsible for all aspects of Tremor's production systems and network architecture. He/she will work closely with the development, QA, product and technical operations teams to support, build and expand the network and system infrastructure.Typical work activities include:
Managing all server, database and application environments including Hadoop clusters and NoSQL data stores
Developing and maintaining state-of-the-art systems for performance monitoring, configuration management and root cause analysis for identifying and correcting system issues
Creating and maintaining vitualized environments using VMWare
Utilizing cloud-storage and application technologies to auto-scale services.
Requirements:
5+ years experience with Linux and CentOS supporting high-load, real-time Internet applications on Apache, Tomcat
Managing storage devices such as SAN and NAS
Experience with tools such as Nagios, Puppet, Chef or CF Engine
Able to contribute to our culture, which rewards innovation, speed and teamwork
Develop conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, including all resulting documents and drawings, test plans, and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture
Poise under pressure!!
