Responsibilities
Planning, conducting and documenting on-site customer studies, remote usability studies, and other research efforts.
Help institute recurrent processes, internal lab, monthly tester recruiting, contractors relationships.
Assist with establishing objectives to final presentation of findings.
Knowledge of and experience using qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (i.e. ethnography, focus groups, usability tests, surveys, and remote testing research).
Ensure the latest online and offline research techniques are incorporated in primary
and secondary research.
Willingness and ability to do 'hands-on' research.
Partner with Team Experience, Engineering and Product PMSs to ensure that user goals, needs and expectations are met, by helping to improve software and website functionality.
Reports to Executive Director of Brand Experience
Technical Skills & Experience
2+ years real-world experience in applying various research methodologies.
(e.g. ethnographic observation, customer interviews, surveys), ideally as part of a
multi-disciplinary team.
Degree in Cognitive Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Sociology, Anthropology or related comparable experience.
Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Familiar with usability software and Adobe Suite, is a plus.
Must have excellent analytical ability, especially in observing user behavior and
identifying key problems that need to be addressed.
Customer-focused with strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Broad understanding of front-end development aspects for software and websites.
Competency in speaking about user experience, human factors, and usability principles.
Examples of designed studies, surveys and findings documentation, are required.
