User Experience and Lead Designer VerbalizeIt

We are disrupting the translation landscape by providing very high quality, human based translations, delivered at a fraction of the cost of traditional call center solutions. Today, the VerbalizeIt live phone translation and asynchronous translation services are accessed by businesses and individuals through Skype, phone and web to navigate language barriers. Our vision is to transform VerbalizeIt into a platform that seamlessly integrates into and powers every translation application in the world. You will be responsible for leading all front-end design efforts to achieve this vision.
The User Experience Lead is responsible for creating a rich experience and brand identity across the array of mediums VerbalizeIt currently supports. You will lead the charge in building the visual representation of the VerbalizeIt brand. Communicating your vision of the product design and interaction through design comps and conversations with the rest of the team. You will be a key and authoritative voice of the product development team.
In addition to preparing designs for discussion, you will also implement these designs. Using HTML/CSS on the web & mobile devices and Photoshop/Illustrator for print.
VerbalizeIt will depend on you to provide expertise in developing products that optimize for specific conversions. A demonstrated ability of iterative product development is a must.

Strong history in creating stunning visual experiences

Building wireframes based on conversational or written specs
Creating designs and mockups in Photoshop / Illustrator / Fireworks or similar
Ability to produce clean and symantic HTML/CSS
