Confluence seeks a highly motivated and experienced individual to drive development of indispensible
software that makes the user?s job as simple as possible. A user experience architect is responsible for
the product and process design: the form and function of the user interface and workflow, its aesthetics,
and the overall product usability, (not the technical architecture). He or she is responsible for
understanding the goals of the consumer for the product and to create innovative designs which meets
those goals. A user experience architect develops the personas and usage scenarios for the customer
requirements. He or she will also develop prototypes and/or storyboards and conduct usability testing at
several stages in the project life cycle.

? Create data architecture aligned with company strategy
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring data architectural excellence across all products.
? Speaks as voice of customer and end user.
? Document the current architecture as-is. Maintain a data dictionary to document the business
model for data.
? Review the current architecture against the organization?s goals and objectives.
? Ensure the relational database architecture is normalized and performs well.
? Ensure the data management architecture is efficient and ensures data integrity and
recoverability. Ensure the data transfer architecture is efficient and reliable.
? Review new product development to ensure that it meets architecture standards and is aligned
with the organization?s goals.
? Identify quality attributes for the architecture and ensure designs support meeting those quality
? Create high-level test plans for data architecture for use by QA.
? Lead the project user experience design in coordination with business analysts and software
? Conduct on-site client research.
? Analyze system users focusing on their goals, challenges, and environment.
? Participate in and facilitate brainstorming and work sessions.
? Communicate, defend, and build consensus around experience architecture and interaction
design direction. Create innovative, fit-to-purpose interfaces for a variety of applications.
? Create and maintain mockups and workflow analysis to be included in specifications.
? Conduct pre-release testing to ensure proper implementation of user interface design. Enter and
address defects associated to design.
? Work in conjunction with development organization to foster efficient development of effective
? Masters degree or equivalent experience in human computer interaction, user interface design
methodologies, or interaction design.
? Two or more years of information architecture or professional design experience.
? Keen understanding of usability principles and existing application frameworks.
? Experience quickly producing elegant and easily understood diagrams, wireframes, design mockups, and other artifacts.
? Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
