User Experience Consultant Mu Dynamics

Mu Dynamics is seeking an outstanding User Experience Consultant to drive the UX evolution of the award-winning self-service cloud-based load and performance testing solution, Blitz. Blitz is focused on mobile/cloud app-developers and integrated with leading PaaS platforms including AppHarbor, Engine Yard, Heroku, etc. We have an innovative, dynamic, experienced and fun team. We work with leading edge user interface technologies like Ajax, Sinatra and NoSQL.

We are looking for a self-starter, an individual who quickly can learn our current and planned product capabilities in order to create an intuitive and visually appealing web user experience that both complements and reveals the underlying power of our technology. The User Experience Consultant will work collaboratively with Blitz product and development teams to design and develop new product capabilities for Blitz. The ideal candidate will thrive on developing innovative user experience ideas and executing them in an Agile/Scrum software engineering environment.

This multi-month consulting opportunity is based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Requirements:

Strong passion for software User Experience design with a demonstrable understanding of User Interface design principles and web standards.
Experience developing UX for Cloud-based Applications, especially those that utilize Ajax.
Experience with communicating design ideas through compelling wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups and HTML prototypes.
Demonstrable fluency with Photoshop, Illustrator or other design tools required.
Ability to use web analytics tools to iterate on data-driven UX design hypotheses.
Solid knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of modern web browsers, UI frameworks and scripting languages such as JavaScript.
Although not strictly required, some previous knowledge user interfaces for Load Testing applications would be helpful
BS or MS in Human-Computer Interaction or equivalent.
