We are seeking a passionate User Experience Designer to join our team. You will work within our Global Product & Experience group to drive user experience strategy & design for our members across various channels (mobile, web, car, customer support and more). You will be a key team member of agile sprint teams, working with product owners, engineers, stakeholders and graphic/visual designers. You will be responsible for executing projects from concept, sketch, prototype development, user testing, and oversight through implementation. The User Experience Designer is a critical player in the overall conception and delivery of digital experiences.
Our ideal candidate is a thoughtful, proactive problem solver and collaborator. Intuitive and able to anticipate future needs and issues, you adapt readily to ever-changing project requirements. You present simple, unique, robust solutions to complex problems and you drive initiatives across the finish line. You are articulate and effective in communicating your vision to stakeholders and team members.
Develop conceptual designs and ensure consistency across multiple platforms.
Create and deliver sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.
Work closely with team members, stakeholders and our creative team to achieve results that are on brand and deliver a great experience.
Design information architectures and workflows.
Design and/or participate in user testing and present results.
Pitch and present designs to stakeholders for approval.
Champion experience design standards across channels.
Stay perpetually up-to-date on emerging best practices, trends, and technologies.
4+ years designing user interfaces for Web, desktop, and mobile applications.
Solid Information Architecture experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of common design patterns and best practices.
Solid foundations in visual design principles (typography, layout, color, etc.).
Understanding of HTML/CSS and the limitations of HTML.
Ability to design localization-friendly interfaces.
Strong communication skills.
Experience working with Agile/Lean software development methodologies & teams
Agency experiences a plus.
