Position requires a senior User Experience designer who has a strong UI perspective and demonstrated ability to work on a dynamic team to provide a rich interface experience to clients in a Web environment. Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, you will work within our Engineering group and be responsible for the development of all application and documentation of the user experience, using Web technologies. You will also interact with Product Management and the Customer Success teams to refine, develop and evolve the user interface to meet customer goals. The UE designer must have a passion for user experience principles and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have exceptional graphical design abilities and experience with UI mock-ups, usability testing, and user interaction models. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively work cross-functionally are required.
Responsibilities:
Deliver UI mock-ups, user interaction models, information architecture diagrams, task analyses, wire frames, mock- ups and prototypes, design briefs, design specs and guidelines,,and screen flows.
Work with Customer Success team and Product Manager to learn how our customers are using our products to better understand their needs and provide input on product design and usability testing.
Design, prototype and implement the technical content of the application's user interaction, including establishing the primary design patterns, researching and implementing technical mechanisms, resulting in a robust and scalable application.
Work with other developers to research and analyze web architecture and software to understand the architectural level to enhance or resolve usability, user interaction and user perception issues.
Work closely with QA individuals to ensure features are of the highest quality.
Contribute to the evaluation of possible external vendors such as BI software.
Perform detailed technology evaluations to drive build versus buy decisions.
Define, promote, and improve UE development best practices throughout the team.
Responsibilities:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Psychology, Graphical Design or a related field.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in UI/UE.
Must possess a strong portfolio of examples of work.
Familiarity with Agile development processes.
Strong understanding of Web standards.
Familiarity with internationalization issue.s
Strong knowledge of Web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.Net, etc.
Strong knowledge of Web interactivity technologies such as Silverlight or HTML5.
Familiarity with working with Visual Studio.Net with knowledge of C# a plus.
Experience with a UI prototyping tool such as Microsoft Sketchflow.
Ability to assess and evaluate possible BI solutions.
Familiarity with MVC architecture.
Strong knowledge of user interface principles and UI patterns
Proven track record of delivering projects in a complex technological environment.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills and recognized team spirit.
Clear and effective technical writing abilities.
