Full Description:As a member of the Noesis Energy product design team, you'll help plan, organize, and iterate on product features and requirements for our SaaS platform. You will act as the user advocate and design experiences to accommodate our multiple personas for use on both desktop and mobile devices, while following best practices for less adapted users. Your duties will include user research, user flows, user scenarios, wireframes, usability testing, and documenting. You will work closely with the development and marketing teams and guide the definition of user behavior goals and craft elegant solutions to meet those goals.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with ux lead, product managers, and stakeholders to translate user stories into
successful, functioning site components
Participate in user research such as contextual inquiries and site flow analytics
Create and iterate wireframes and storyboards of user scenarios for new product features
Create clickable prototypes and scripts for usability testing
Design use cases for A/B Tests
Design page templates, pixel-perfect visual appearance/interactivity across a responsive
experience (desktop, mobile)
Share responsibility for new design efforts and roadmap views, collaborate with product
and marketing teams in crafting pitches for new site functionality
Demonstrate multi-disciplinary approach to creative problem-solving
Understand and effectively communicate/implement interactive concepts that reflect the
company's creative and business philosophy, methodology and capabilities
Demonstrate foresight by understanding emerging tools, technology and business
practices for the digital medium, and learning the application of these tools and practices
Strive to be a thought leader and advanced practitioner in creative tools and tactics
Qualifications:
UX artifacts submitted prior to interview
1-2 years experience as a UX designer
Computer Science or Design degree track in interaction design, HCI, information sciences,
or human factors
Be highly skilled at crafting wireframes, storyboards, and other descriptive artifacts of
logical design and interactive experiences using tools such as Balsamiq or Mock-Flow.
Experience in software application design, for desktop and/or mobile, is a big plus
Understanding of latest web and mobile patterns
Passion for usability, innovation, and energy conservation
Be an enthusiastic and empathetic user advocate and a champion of excellence in our
product experiences.
Be based in our Austin, TX office
Bonus Qualifications (Please mention in resume):
Working knowledge of HTML 5 & CSS3
Knowledge of Google Web Toolkit (GWT)
Visual Design Skills (Photoshop & Illustrator)
Mobile Design/Dev Experience
Video Editing/Animation Experience
Copywriting
Info Graphic Design
Experience in CleanTech or Energy Management
