BlackArrow is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated User Experience Prototyper to help design and visualize new engaging features within BlackArrow?s advanced advertising solution for new TV platforms.This individual is a member of the user experience team and will work with other members to illustrate, explore, and evolve new design ideas through the creation of interactive html prototypes. We are looking for someone with a strong front end coding experience who can not only help translate designs into rapid prototypes, but someone who wants to be a thought leader in html/css best practices and help present new technologies that help foster the best user experiences.
Most importantly we are looking for someone who can not only knock out prototypes, but also has a solid understanding of user-centered design processes and interaction design principles.
Responsibilities:
Develop functional prototypes to prove out features and interactions and enable iterative design/research
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to define/refine new features and user experience improvements
Assist in development of detailed user experience specifications including: wireframes, use cases, content inventories, site maps and other strategy documents
Work with engineering to ensure successful translation of prototypes and designs to production code
Requirements:
2+ years experience as an user experience prototyper, front-end engineer, or interaction designer
Expert proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, AJAX and toolkits like YUI or jQuery
Working knowledge of Photoshop and/or Fireworks and be able to cut up comps
Degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphical Design, Technical Communications, Industrial Design
Preferred Skills:
Your interaction design skills are as strong as your prototyping skills
You can explain what event delegation is and why it is important to highly interactive website
You take your visual designs and make cross browser CSS3 versions just for fun
An obsessive attention to detail that borders on being a perfectionist when it comes to UI/UX work
