User Experience Team - Senior UX Designer SmartPak

This position will work very closely with the Director of UX to re-shape the way customers experience SmartPak today and in the future! Your insight and expertise would be leveraged in helping to design and execute a rich and engaging e-commerce experience across consumer desktop, mobile, and tablet devices. The Senior User Experience Designer will have overall responsibility and ownership over the user interface. This role would heavily interact with other areas of the business, gathering user goals and business requirements, creating the information design and flows, and hosting user research & testing across a project life-cycle.
What we are looking for:
Develop UX solutions for web, mobile, and tablet devices that thrill and empower users
Deep understanding of user heuristics, design principles, and best practices.
Firm grasp of current web technologies and frameworks, and leverages them in concepts and designs.
Createwireframes and mockups that excite and engage customers
Communicates complex concepts and rallies others for support of concepts and designs
Collaborates cross-functionally across the organization, senior management, and with customers
Other duties/ projects as needed.
Position Must Have?s:
Bachelor's degree or exceptional experience in UX design
5+ years of professional UX designer experience
2+ relevant web marketing and/or ecommerce experience
Adept at HTML/CSS, can hand code pixel perfect web pages from scratch.
Experience designing in the consumer space.
Extensive experience working in an Agile development environment
Insatiable appetite to learn, creative thinker that quickly understands and solves problems.
Sense of humor
Equine or other enthusiast industry experience a plus
