User Interface Design Manager Zoom Systems
ZoomSystems is looking for a User Interface Design Manager with interactive experience and a formal design background to join our fun, dynamic, hardworking and talented team. The ideal candidate will have experience improving process workflow, applying usability theory, and analyzing user behavior in order to improve the overall user experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of design/interactive experience, an accessible digital portfolio, and a thorough understanding of information architecture/user experience.
Lead a small cross-functional team of UI Designers and Developers.
Create the vision and system for overall user experience and navigation for Zoom?s Self-Managed Automated Retail Technology platform.
Plan, execute and present user experience design concepts to clients and business owners.
Deliver creative strategies and design concepts that meet the business objectives.
Collaborate and work individually to problem solve and offer best in class visual design solutions that further our mission to create great user experiences.
Deliver user interface designs that ensure customer ease-of-use and drives conversion rates.
Provide quality control over concepts and project.
Research and develop personas, scenarios, wireframes and task flows to validate conceptual and functional prototyping.
Self-manage tasks and accurately scope project timelines.
Establish and maintain user interface standards.
Evangelize interface guidelines and design patterns.
Designs must take into account the capabilities of rich media solutions (Java, Flash, Flex, DHTML, etc.).
Define and track key success metrics for visual design, conducting usability tests and research as needed.
Advocate on behalf of the Products team and uphold best practices in all areas of design.
Degree in Human factors, Human Computer Interaction, and/or Computer Science preferred.
Minimum 5 years online experience designing, creating, and producing consumer-facing multimedia experiences for the Web.
An in-depth knowledge of Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash.
Ability to generate interactive prototypes using basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript or Flex a plus.
At least 3 years experience working with large-scale web sites, including e-commerce site design.
A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process.
Proven ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
Solid project management skills in a web-based technical situation with proven success meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
Strong designer who demonstrates control, ownership, effective communication and impeccable interpersonal skills.
Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced Agile work environment.
Create robust documentation of designs.
Digital portfolio required.
Strong designer who moves quickly and decisively.
Ability to juggle multiple jobs while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality of work.
Solid design concept development skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills and comfort working within an environment where efforts are measured against quantitative objectives or ROI.
