Position ScopeWorking closely with our Product Manager, UX Architect and engineers, the User Interface Designer will play a key role in designing and implementing the front end visual design and interaction for new features and products. He/She will lead visual and interactive design development throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial explorations through final design deliverables. As such, the candidate must be able collaborate effectively and efficiently with multiple teams. We are looking for a designer who is ambitious, hungry and has the desire to make a difference.
Position Description
This User Interface Designer will work closely with our Product Manager and UX Architect and interact with multiple teams at InContext. He/She must be able to understand and respond to performance data (metric tests, usability studies), and steer the direction of future creative designs. This person will be responsible for translating conceptual ideas into engaging and user-friendly visual presentations, interactions and designing solutions. As such, the candidate should be able to produce deliverables such as storyboards, templates, wireframes, screen layouts, color palettes, typography, user interface elements, and prototypes.

Have at least 3-5 years of experience in visual design
Have experience either leading or playing a major role in the visual design of a commercial software product, specifically creating user experiences for desktop, web and mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPad or Android ? ideally in a B2B setting with heavy emphasis on business application design versus static, informational websites
Be well-versed in fundamental visual and interactive design disciplines and principals
Have the ability to visualize, own and execute the creation of an experience from initial conception to collaborating with engineers on implementation
Be capable of rendering beautiful visuals ? anything ranging from content layout to form elements and textures
Be proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator in particular)
Have the ability to deliver solid designs on a tight deadline
Be comfortable with an iterative design process that includes accepting and managing feedback and constructive criticism
Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Have excellent collaborative skills
Preferably (but not mandatory) have knowledge of HTML and CSS plus knowledge of other front end web technologies, i.e. Javascript frameworks
Be able to share an online portfolio of previous work
Have experience working closely with interaction designers and product mangers in the past
Preferably have experience designing for tablet devices, or wishes to build this knowledge
