Vibrant is seeking a User Interface Designer & Developer who will bring experience designing and prototyping new ad concepts. They will work closely with the Product, Sales and Creative teams to concept, design and prototype new products and iterate based on usage data and client feedback. This User Interface Designer & Developer should have a unique combination of proven talent and ability in interface design, visual design and basic coding.
We are looking for someone that can:
- Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques including, but not limited to, prototyping and usability testing
- Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale
- Ensure projects are completed on time and with precise quality
- Build customized Flash video players for rendering advertising content
- Create and produce: product demos, flash banners, microsites, websites, landing pages, and jump pages
- Build custom, modular components for reuse in multiple applications
- Design, implement, and document reference players for partners
- Act as a main channel for information flow between the engineering and commercial sides of the business
- Help with the availability and awareness of market-leading product solutions to meet and exceed company commercial goals
- Help coordinate the portfolio product delivery ensuring development meets company commercial goals and taking development through to market
- Act as a Global Vibrant contact for Sales and BD Teams with regard to products
- A contributor to the Product Suite with decision-making control over approved live product
- Contribute to external product communication
- Participate in discussions with internal teams regarding product enhancements and solutions

Skills you will need to be successful in this role:
- 5+ years of user interface design experience
- Highly developed organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Strong conceptual thinking and knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to Web-based applications
- Demonstrated experience using web analytics data to inform design decisions - must have an intermediate understanding of major web analytics packages and SEO strategies
- Strong self-management skills as well as ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-discipline team
- Experience with DHTML, CSS table-less design and JavaScript. Flash, ActionScript, PHP a plus.
- Advanced proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator
- BS/BA in Design, HCI or related degree preferred
- Agency experience a plus, but not necessary
