The Adknowledge Engage Channel includes solutions targeted toward online publishers and advertisers as well as consumer properties.
Our publisher solutions provide various monetization solutions targeted at implementations for search traffic, content sites, and other web-based applications.
Our advertiser solutions provide additional reach for online properties and advertisers, allowing them to cost effectively obtain additional visitors and page views from our vast network.
The department has a strong technology infrastructure and proprietary code, including:
C#/SQL Server Platform mixed with Java and PHP running on 100's of servers
Highly scalable event handling that leverages message brokers to process millions of events per day
Large scale publishers that use our behavioral-targeting systems to pick the most successful (and likely to convert) ads
An AJAX-powered reporting interface.
A Perl-powered social networking platform with over a million users and hundreds of thousands of pages of unique content.
Dozens of unique content distribution sites powered by a custom CMS
POSITION OVERVIEW
The User Interface Designer will serve as the primary design resource tasked with designing the user interfaces of our world-class web properties. This includes both world-facing layouts and internal administrative pages. The person in this role will be familiar with user experience best practices, client-side web technologies, and bring a deep knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of modern web browsers and mobile devices to their design process. A passion for design and cutting-edge interaction should be balanced with a pragmatic approach to problem solving. Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with Product Managers to gather functional and user requirements to design product attributes based on customer feedback and existing competitive products
Have expert knowledge of the user interface design process and deliverables throughout the development lifecycle, including storyboards, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and detailed UX design documentation
Build and develop high-fidelity mockups
Design and maintain user experience with a multi-platform mindset
CANDIDATE OVERVIEW
The successful candidate will be, first and foremost, a team player devoted to the continued success of Adknowledge and the Engage channel. The ideal candidate will also have at least:
Minimum of 4 years experience in UI design, graphic design, or web development
Ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process
Fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle (or similar visual tool), to create wireframes, create quick proof of concept or detailed visual treatment for complex tools
A passion for transforming complex concepts and data sets into simple, intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces and experience
Experience with iterative design and development methods
Ability to prototype designs into HTML/CSS/Javascript is highly desired
